eSIM Cards Will Be Available in Egypt Before End of 2024
Telecom Egypt has also revealed a partnership with Nokia to spearhead the deployment of 5G technology across the nation.
Egypt’s mobile network landscape is set to be updated with the launch of eSIM cards before the end of 2024, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat announced.
The eSIM, or embedded SIM, will be offered by Egypt’s four major mobile operators: Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, Etisalat Misr and Telecom Egypt. This digital SIM card will provide users with the convenience of switching between operators without the need for physical SIM card replacements.
In tandem with the eSIM rollout, Telecom Egypt has revealed a partnership with Nokia to spearhead the deployment of 5G technology across the nation. Major cities such as Giza, Luxor, Aswan and Alexandria are slated to be the initial beneficiaries of this advanced network infrastructure.
