Tadao Ando Unveils Design for Dubai’s New Armani Beach Residences

Strategically positioned on the outer crescent of Palm Jumeirah’s artificial islands in Dubai, the Armani Beach Residences is a new development by Arada, a Sharjah-based developer. Designed and conceptualised by the internationally acclaimed architect Tadao Ando, a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, this project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2026. 

Perched at an elevated vantage point, the entrance to the development provides residents with stunning ocean views from various angles. This design feature, echoed throughout the entire project, highlights the symbiotic relationship between nature and architecture, a signature touch of Tadao Ando’s design philosophy.

In a seamless harmony with the seascape, the design showcases sleek horizontal lines that flow with the island's contours, imparting a sense of order and clear geometry. Each residence features floor-to-ceiling curtain walls, signature Armani foyer designs, and spacious terraces that further elevate their elegance and appeal. 

Complemented by a range of high-end amenities, the residences feature health and wellness facilities, as well as social entertainment spaces that include a private beach, a cosy movie theatre, and a landscaped deck area offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai's skyline. 

Meanwhile, the incorporated water features and pools throughout the design, combined with the carefully crafted interplay of light and shadow - hallmarks of Tadao Ando’s architectural style - elevate the experience, imparting a sense of tranquillity and a touch of the sublime to the building. 

Spanning over 90,000 square feet, the Armani Beach Residences feature 53 uniquely crafted homes, ranging from two- to five-bedroom configurations, penthouses, and two presidential suites. 

Embodying the Italian designer Giorgio Armani’s vision of a warm, sophisticated space, the residence's interior is set to be designed and furnished by the renowned Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio. Established in 2000, this studio seamlessly blends style and technology, offering a wide array of products ranging from furniture and accessories to fabrics and wall coverings.
