A Second Sustainable City is Being Built in Sharjah
Sharjah Sustainable City II launches in Al Rahmaniya with 1,032 smart homes powered by solar energy and green infrastructure.
The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, in partnership with SEE Holding, launched Sharjah Sustainable City II, a 1,032-home development in the Al Rahmaniya area of Sharjah. The authority said the 7.8 million square foot project comprises 944 three and four bedroom townhouses and 88 five bedroom villas, with all homes smart-enabled and fitted with solar panels and energy-efficient appliances to help reduce utility costs and environmental impact. The master plan centres on a 2 kilometre green spine to support walking, cycling and low-impact mobility. The community will incorporate local food production through farmlands and biodomes, alongside integrated waste management systems, green transport solutions and biodiverse landscaping. Sharjah Sustainable City II will be showcased at the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition ACRES from January 21st to 24th, 2026. During the exhibition, buyers will be offered a 50% discount on registration fees and zero service charges for the first three years after handover. The development is available on a freehold basis to all nationalities, supported by flexible payment plans. The project follows Sharjah Sustainable City, the emirate’s first sustainable residential community.
