Michelin Guide Adds New Restaurants in Ongoing Saudi Rollout

The Michelin Guide’s second release in its three-part Saudi Arabia rollout has introduced two new restaurants to the Bib Gourmand list, with further announcements scheduled for December 15th. In this latest update, Fi Glbak in Riyadh and The Lucky Llama in Jeddah were added to the category, which recognises venues offering high-quality food at moderate prices.

Alongside the Bib Gourmand and Michelin star distinctions, the selection includes the broader Michelin Guide category, spotlighting dining destinations that stand out but have not been awarded either classification. The guide is being developed in partnership with the Culinary Arts Commission, part of the Ministry of Culture, and continues to highlight restaurants in Riyadh and Jeddah while expanding coverage to Alkhobar and AlUla.

This update follows the earlier announcement of Bib Gourmand recipients such as Tameesa, the Saudi breakfast venue; Mirzam, a contemporary Saudi restaurant; Kayzo, a Japanese concept; and Joontos, a Spanish-inspired Middle Eastern restaurant located in AlUla. The final set of restaurants in the 2024 Saudi selection will be revealed in mid-December.
