CBSE Re-Evaluations Raise Class 12 Scores for UAE Students

Class 12 students at Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)-affiliated schools across the UAE have reported higher scores following the re-evaluation of written examination papers, with some marks increasing by as much as 20 points.

The first phase of verification and re-evaluation results was released by the CBSE on June 21st, with the board stating that more than 87% of applications had been processed.

This year's examination cycle was disrupted after most papers scheduled following February 28th were cancelled amid regional tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran. In response, the board adopted an alternative assessment policy combining completed exam results with internal school assessments.

According to school officials, the re-evaluation process applied only to written CBSE examination papers and did not cover practical assessments, coursework or internal grading.
