Digital Platform to Streamline Foreign Work Permits in Egypt
The new system will manage the full work permit process online, from company registration and review to issuance and public verification.
A unified digital platform for foreign work permits is being prepared by Egypt’s Ministry of Labour, with the new system designed to manage the full permit process through a single electronic pathway.
The platform will cover company registration and accreditation, application review and approval, permit issuance and public verification. By bringing each stage into one system, the ministry aims to reduce repeated procedures and make the process faster and clearer for employers, investors and foreign workers.
Minister of Labour Hassan Raddad reviewed final preparations for the rollout with a delegation from Tarabot for Government Services, including progress on the platform itself, the dedicated service centre and the digital infrastructure required to operate the system.
The ministry is also working on electronic integration with other government bodies involved in issuing foreign work permits, with the aim of allowing data to move between entities without requiring applicants to repeat the same steps across different authorities.
Raddad said the project forms part of a wider effort to expand digital government services while maintaining legal review and compliance requirements. Final procedures are now being completed ahead of the platform’s launch.
