Egypt Wins Two Awards for Its Tourism Showcase at WTM London 2026
The conference awarded Egypt's pavilion Best Stand Design and Best Stand Activation.
Egypt won two awards at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026 this week, taking Best Stand Design and Best Stand Activation for its pavilion and the interactive experience built around the country’s history, culture and tourism offering.
Mohamed Fares, co-founder of Alchemy Studio and founder of MF & Associates, developed this year’s pavilion in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian Tourism Authority. The space was expanded to accommodate 110 tourism companies and establishments.
Titled ‘Unmatched Diversities’, the pavilion presented different sides of Egypt, from its ancient civilisation and contemporary culture to landscapes including deserts and beaches. It also placed particular emphasis on hospitality and the range of experiences available to visitors.
WTM London presented the two awards to Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy. The recognition comes in the same year that Egypt is participating as a Premier Partner at the event.
Held from November 3rd to 5th, WTM London is the flagship event in the World Travel Market series, bringing together travel professionals to connect, source products and discover destinations. Other WTM events are held annually in Cape Town, São Paulo, Riyadh and New Delhi.
