New British & IB schools to open in Dubai & Sharjah by 2026

Seven new British and International Baccalaureate schools are set to open across Dubai and Sharjah from the 2026-2027 academic year, adding places in residential communities including Town Square, Mudon, Dubai Sports City, Bur Dubai and Aljada.

The openings will introduce three British curriculum schools and four IB candidate schools, with annual fees ranging from AED 40,000 to more than AED 100,000. By locating campuses in rapidly expanding neighbourhoods, the developments are also expected to shorten daily journeys for some students.

Harrow International School Dubai will open on Hessa Street for pupils from FS1 to Year 6, with fees starting at AED 80,000 and exceeding AED 100,000 for some year groups. Queen Elizabeth’s School Dubai will open in Dubai Sports City for Nursery to Year 8, charging between AED 70,000 and AED 102,000 annually.

Rugby School Dubai is also scheduled to open in Nad Al Sheba, offering the British curriculum from Foundation Stage to Year 13. Its fees have not yet been announced.

The planned IB candidate schools include Ambassador International Academy Mankhool in Bur Dubai, which will accept pupils from Nursery to Grade 8 and charge between AED 45,000 and AED 65,000.

Ash Mount School in Mudon will admit children from Pre-KG to Grade 8, with fees ranging from AED 52,000 to AED 85,000. Dubai International Academy Town Square will serve the same age range, with annual fees between AED 49,000 and AED 70,500.

In Sharjah, Raffles World Academy will open in Aljada for pupils from Pre-KG to Grade 8, with fees starting at AED 40,000 and reaching AED 64,000. It will be the first school operated by Innoventures Education in the emirate.
