Saudi Arabia Remittances Reach USD 44 Billion in 2025
Officials said outbound transfers support global development and reflect labour reforms under Vision 2030.
Remittances sent from Saudi Arabia reached approximately USD 44 billion in 2025, according to remarks delivered at the International Migration Review Forum held at United Nations headquarters in New York.
The figure was presented by Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, who said the transfers play a role in supporting the economies of workers’ home countries and contributing to sustainable development.
During his address, Al-Wasel outlined labour market and expatriate workforce reforms introduced under Saudi Vision 2030, linking them to broader efforts to manage migration more effectively.
He said international cooperation is essential to managing regular migration in a way that respects national priorities while delivering shared economic benefits, noting that cross-border coordination supports more structured and predictable migration systems.
Al-Wasel also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s submission of its first voluntary national report on the implementation of the Global Compact for Migration, describing it as part of an institutional approach to tracking progress.
