UAE Has 59 Billionaires With Combined Wealth of USD 201 Billion

The UAE was home to 59 billionaires with a combined wealth of USD 201 billion in 2025, placing it 14th globally by billionaire population, according to Altrata’s ‘Billionaire Census 2026’.

The number of billionaires in the country declined by 1.9% year on year. They accounted for around 1.4% of the global billionaire population and 1.3% of total billionaire wealth, which reached USD 15.1 trillion worldwide.

Dubai ranked joint eighth among global cities by billionaire population, tying with Shenzhen. The city counted 43 billionaires in 2025, two more than the previous year, placing it behind New York, Hong Kong, San Francisco, London, Singapore, Los Angeles and Beijing.

Across the Middle East, the billionaire population increased by 5% to 254, although combined wealth fell by 4% to USD 700 billion amid weaker energy prices and underperforming regional equity markets. Saudi Arabia counted 68 billionaires with a combined wealth of USD 175 billion.

Globally, the billionaire population rose by 8.2% in 2025 to a record 3,795 people, while combined wealth climbed 12.8% to USD 15.1 trillion. The United States remained the largest billionaire market with 1,265 individuals, followed by China with 363 and Germany with 221.

Altrata also found that among 150 listed companies contributing most to billionaire wealth, those making meaningful investments in artificial intelligence recorded 23% higher market capitalisation growth over 2024 and 2025 than companies that did not.
