Habibi Funk to Perform at Cairo Jazz Club January 15th

Jannis Stürtz - aka Habibi Funk, the German DJ and co-founder of the famed indie reissue label Habibi Funk Records - is set to perform at Cairo Jazz Club this Wednesday, January 15th.

As a label owner and spinner, Habibi Funk has built a reputation in the global electronic dance scene through his work of reinvigorating rare Middle Eastern and North African records that shaped the ‘50s, ‘60s and '70s, encompassing a wide range of genres from jazz and funk to psychedelic rock.

He will be joined on the lineup by Cairo-based producer and DJ Zeft Funk, whose sets span italo disco, acid and funk, alongside visiting Toronto-based Egyptian selector Shen with an eclectic mix of retro influences and groovy house.
