Rap of the Week | Oct 2 - 9

In this edition of our Rap of the Week playlist, the team at SceneNoise has selected some of the most interesting hip-hop releases from across the MENA region. Spanning various rap sub-genres, the list includes everything from chart-toppers to emerging talents and everything in between. This edition features new music by ElGrandeToto, Nayomi and Shabjdeed.

On the playlist we see Shabjdeed and Al Nather in their first release following their sophomore full-length LP ‘Sultan’. The track, titled ‘Intidab’, paint a stark picture of shattered existence through Shabjdeed's introspective lyrics, delivered with a tone of quiet sorrow, while Al Nather’s synth-driven instrumental amplifies the melancholy with a bleak, almost dystopian atmosphere.

Further down the playlist we highlight new tracks by Iraqi rapper Nayomi with ‘Die Young’, Ashafar in his collaboration with ElGrandeToto on ‘30K’, and Mr.Kordy with ‘Drifting’.
