This Dubai-Based Artist Is Painting Landscapes On Sneakers
The sneakers are available through Design Dome, a concept space in Dubai's City Walk that brings together fashion, art, culture, and coffee under one roof.
Sneaker trends come and go, but personal style tends to outlast them. That’s the idea behind Dubai-based artist and designer Diviya Tilani’s bespoke sneaker creations, which transform everyday footwear into wearable works of art.
Available at Design Dome in City Walk, Tilani’s hand-painted designs are made for those looking to bring a little more personality to their wardrobes. From intricate illustrations and textured embellishments to custom colourways and themed commissions, each pair is designed to reflect its wearer.
“Sneakers today are more than just fashion or comfort—they are personality statements,” says Tilani. “We all deserve to wear footwear with character.”
A resident artist and co-founder of Design Dome, Tilani brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work, drawing on her background in painting and historical costume construction. Her designs span a range of aesthetics, from UAE-inspired pairs featuring camels set against desert sunsets to sneakers adorned with playful charms and trinkets, as well as experimental creations incorporating rope, thread and sequins.
