A Perimenopause & Menopause Retreat Is Coming to Cairo in February
Taking place at Ardi Dahshur, the retreat will combine educational sessions, functional nutrition, and restorative practices to explore perimenopause and menopause through a multidisciplinary lens.
Set against the quiet stillness of Egypt’s Dahshur, Ardi Dahshur is hosting an intimate retreat that reimagines how we speak about—and move through—perimenopause and menopause. Taking place from February 5th to 7th, 2026, the two-day ‘My Pause’ gathering invites women into a slower, more informed relationship with a life stage that is too often misunderstood or medicalised. Rather than framing perimenopause and menopause as something to be “fixed,” the retreat approaches them as natural biological transitions—ones that deserve care, curiosity, and collective understanding. Through guided sessions, shared meals, and reflective practices, participants are encouraged to explore what is happening in both body and mind, and how to support long-term wellbeing through this shift. The programme brings together practitioners across women’s health, nutrition, and movement. Marwa El Sayed leads a session unpacking the neurological and physiological changes that occur in the years leading up to menopause, offering clarity around how hormonal shifts impact cognition, mood, and the nervous system. Functional nutritionist Fatma Kamal explores perimenopause and post-menopausal health through the lens of nourishment, sustainability, and daily practices that support hormonal balance. Movement and rest are woven throughout the experience. Yin yoga and sound healing sessions led by Loulii offer space to slow down, release, and reconnect—not as an add-on, but as an essential part of learning how to listen to the body during transition. The retreat includes a two-night stay with full board, featuring thoughtfully prepared meals designed to support hormonal health. Beyond the structured sessions, equal emphasis is placed on community—with group conversations, shared reflections, and moments of quiet connection that allow participants to feel seen, held, and understood. At its core, ‘My Pause’ is about reframing this chapter of life—not as an ending or a crisis, but as a powerful recalibration.
