EgyptAir Unveils Retro-Lived Aircraft to Mark 94 Years in the Skies

EgyptAir is taking a nostalgic turn this year, and it’s looking seriously good in the process. To mark its 94th anniversary, the national carrier has unveiled a retro-painted aircraft under the slogan ‘EgyptAir: Our history, Our Pride’ that quite literally wears its history on its wings. Dressed in a revived heritage livery, the plane brings back the classic red-and-gold branding once seen across the airline’s fleet in the eighties, a visual nod to a time when air travel felt a little more cinematic. The design isn’t just about aesthetics, but part of a wider celebration of EgyptAir’s long-standing aviation legacy, which stretches back to 1932, making it one of the oldest airlines in the region. The retro scheme, according to the airline, is meant to honour that journey while reconnecting newer generations of travellers and crew with its identity in the sky.
