Newly Announced Airline Will Connect Saudi Arabia with Africa
The soon-to-launch airline will aim to boost tourism and investment in Saudi Arabia and the African continent.
Reports have emerged of a new Saudi Arabian airline geared towards serving the African market, set to launch soon. Operating out of Riyadh, the primary objective of this new airline will be to bolster tourism and investment in the Kingdom and the African continent, as well as support religious events such as Hajj and Umrah.
Having secured regulatory approvals from Saudi Arabian and the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), this new airline will mark the relaunch of a defunct carrier that operated between 2016 and 2021 in Saudi Arabia but was forced to cease operations due to economic challenges.
Anticipated to establish multiple air transport routes between various African countries and Saudi cities, offering both direct and stopover flights, this carrier aims to transport 385 million passengers between Saudi Arabia and Africa by 2030.
