Saudi's Red Sea International Airport Announces First Overseas Flights
Operated by flydubai, the inaugural overseas flight will land in Red Sea International Airport on April 18th.
Scheduled to arrive on April 18th and operated by flydubai, the first international flight to Red Sea International Airport (RSI) will inaugurate a new twice-weekly service from Dubai to RSI.
Since September of last year, Saudia has been operating a regular schedule of domestic flights to RSI.
“Situated within three hours flying time of 250 million people, RSI will serve 1 million guests a year at full capacity,” John Pagano, group CEO at Red Sea Global, tells SceneTraveller. “Our inaugural flight just six months ago was the start of our journey toward reaching that goal, and this first international flight is a further step in making Saudi Arabia one of the top tourism destinations globally.”
With the introduction of flydubai services, RSI will now offer a total of eight regular flights per week, thus improving connectivity for residents of the Red Sea regions along the western coast of Saudi Arabia.
