Italian Cultural Institute Launches Breaking Walls Dance Film Festival
Dnace films from Egypt and around the globe will be screened at the Italian Cultural Institute in Zamalek between October 27th and October 31st.
The Italian Cultural Institute of Cairo is bringing ‘Breaking Walls Dance Film Festival’, an event wholly dedicated to dance films from around the world, to Egypt for the first time. Films from Egypt, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, France, and Argentina are set to be screened at the Italian Cultural Institute in Zamalek between October 27th and October 31st.
This event is part of the fourth edition of the larger Breaking Walls Festival, an annual festival that showcases performances in dance, theatre, art and music across a number of buildings and public spaces in Cairo.
The Egyptian films on display will include ‘MANFADA’, a tribute to dancer Hossam Abd El-Hamid, ‘Between Heaven and Home’, ‘The Four Walls’, ‘TabulaRasa’, and ‘Festa de Noantri’, a collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute of Cairo and Cairo’s ÑUT Dance Company.
