Luxor African Film Festival Launches Initiative for Female Filmmakers
The project is going to oversee the development, training and psychological and moral support for the chosen directors with a group of experts from Europe and the US.

In its 11th edition, Luxor African Film Festival is launching a new project, ‘The Factory’, which aims to empower female filmmakers across Africa. The initiative will support seven to nine feature film concepts and turn them into a reality.
The project is going to oversee the development, training and psychological and moral support for the chosen directors with a group of experts from Europe and the US.
Azza El-Husseini, director of the Luxor African Film Festival, revealed that the festival will also host five of the continent’s leading female documentary filmmakers to present discussions and screenings.
The Luxor African Film Festival will be held from March 4th to March 10th, with Uganda set to be the guest of honour for the upcoming edition. To learn more or submit your film, visit luxorafricanfilmfestival.com
