EGP 17 Million Pedestrian Bridge to Be Built at Ramses Street

Ah, Ramses Street, a bustling beacon of overcrowded microbuses and honking cars. Naturally, it’s not the safest for pedestrians, but it looks like that’s about to change. The governorate of Cairo has laid the first foundation stone for the construction of a new pedestrian bridge on Ramses Street in order to reduce accidents.

The cost of the bridge project comes up to EGP 17 million pounds, and is the beginning of a new cooperation protocol signed between Cairo and Al-Qadisiyah Company to establish a number of pedestrian bridges throughout the governorate, which would facilitate the pedestrian movement and ensure their safety.
