Five Million Students Across Egypt Are Now Exempt From Tuition Fees

The Ministry of Social Solidarity announced that five million students with exceptional financial needs will be exempt from tuition fees, through either the ‘Takaful’ program or the ‘Equal Educational Opportunities’ initiative.

The ministry also increased the number of people that will be included under the umbrella of the ‘Equal Educational Opportunities’ initiative by supporting around 500,000 students from families with special financial needs, and ensuring that their tuition fees are paid for.

This is part of the many initiatives the ministry has launched to support students in schools and universities, such as by distributing laptops, headphones and mobile devices to students with disabilities and special needs.
