Turkey to Provide Drones to Egypt
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will visit Egypt on February 14th to meet with his counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Turkey has agreed to supply drones to Egypt, according to Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, as reported by Reuters. This agreement comes after the two countries normalized ties.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is set to visit Egypt on February 14th to meet with his counterpart, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. This marks Erdogan's first visit since Ankara and Cairo elevated relations by appointing ambassadors in 2023.
"Normalization in our relations is important for Egypt to access certain technologies. We have an agreement to provide Egypt with unmanned air vehicles and other technologies," Fidan told Turkish channel A Haber. Additionally, Turkey's leader is expected to discuss bilateral and regional issues, including trade, energy and security with al-Sisi, according to A Haber.
