The Cultural Development Fund has opened submissions for the 15th Cairo International Animation Forum, welcoming new films in short, feature, VR, experimental, student, and TV/commercial categories.

The Cultural Development Fund, under architect Hamdy El Sattouhi, announced the call for entries for the 15th Cairo International Forum for Animated Films. The event, supported by the Ministry of Culture, will run from December 25th to the 31st, 2025.
Six competition tracks are open to entrants: short films, feature-length animation, student debut works, TV/commercial projects, experimental/independent animation, and virtual reality (VR) pieces.
Works must be produced from 2023 onward, have a minimum runtime of one minute, and be accompanied by a participation form, film summary, director biography, and still frames. Submission is open until October 30th.
The forum aims to support the development of animation as a creative industry through exposure, dialogue, and competition, reflecting its commitment to expanding Egypt’s cultural footprint in digital arts.
