GFF to Screen Restored Version of Khairy Beshara’s ‘Nutshell’
The 1995 drama film ‘Nutshell’ stars Mahmoud Yassin, Mohamed Henedi, Hussein Fahmy and Abla Kamel.
A restored version of Khairy Beshara’s 1995 drama film ‘Nutshell’ will be screened during the Festival’s 7th edition. The announcement was made at the Festival’s official press conference today by Marianne Khoury, the Artistic Director of El Gouna Film Festival.
The screening is part of GFF’s efforts to screen restored Egyptian films, and preserve the country’s cinematic heritage.
‘Nutshell’ stars Mahmoud Yassin, Mohamed Henedi, Hussein Fahmy and Abla Kamel, and follows the story of an hotelier who opens a food competition at his hotel in a bid to attract more guests. Instead, a large number of poor people attend the competition, leading to tragedy and highlighting the plight of the less fortunate.
El Gouna Film Festival will take place from October 24th to November 1st.
