May Elghety Joins Cast of Hollywood’s 'The Mummy' With May Calamawy

Egyptian actress May Elghety has joined the cast of ‘The Mummy’, the upcoming Hollywood film from writer-director Lee Cronin, known for the 2023 horror hit ‘Evil Dead Rise’.
Elghety stars alongside Veronica Falcón, known for ‘Ozark’ and ‘Queen of the South’, and May Calamawy, who gained international recognition through Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’ and Hulu’s ‘Ramy’. They join previously announced cast members Jack Reynor and Laia Costa.
Set for release in the United States on April 17th, 2026, the film has already begun production, currently underway in Ireland and Spain, with plot details still under wraps.
Elghety previously starred in Mohamed Diab’s ‘Clash’, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and voiced a character in Disney+’s ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’ as the only North African actress in the anthology. Her upcoming international work includes the English-language film ‘Due Dating’.
