Red Sea Festival Will Hold Special Screening of Classic Egyptian Films
A restored version of Egyptian film ‘Khally Ballak Men ZouZou’ will be screened at the festival for its 50th anniversary.
Classic Egyptian film ‘Khally Ballak Men ZouZou’ (1972) will be screened at the Red Sea International Film Festival to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The second edition of the festival, held from December 1st to December 10th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will showcase a fully restored version of the film.
‘Khally Ballak Men ZouZou’ was written by the late renowned writer Salah Jahin and directed by Hassan El Emam. It starred the late Egyptian actress Soad Hosny, and veteran actor Hussein Fahmy, who has been invited to attend the special screening.
The Red Sea International Film Festival will also be screening a restored version of ‘Gharam Fl Karnak’ (1967), featuring celebrated Egyptian dancer Mahmoud Reda and his iconic folk dance troupe.
