100,000 Flu Vaccines Distributed Nationwide by Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health and Population announced the distribution of over 100,000 doses of the seasonal flu vaccine to pharmacies, health centres and vaccination sites nationwide to reduce infections and complications. Ministry spokesperson Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar released a statement saying that no new bacterial or viral strains have been reported, adding that hospital visits related to respiratory illnesses are stable. The epidemiological situation is closely monitored through a surveillance network covering 542 hospitals across the country.
The ministry emphasised flu prevention through frequent handwashing, avoiding crowded indoor spaces, and maintaining overall health. The ministry noted that circulating flu strains include rhinovirus, H3N2 and flu B, with effective treatment protocols in place.
