Abu Dhabi’s ‘Hayat’ organ donation and transplantation programme has completed more than 1,000 organ transplants since its launch.
The programme manages donor registration, medical evaluation, and transplant coordination, increasing the availability of organs for patients in need. It also works to improve transplant success rates and shorten waiting times.
Run in collaboration with hospitals and medical teams across the UAE, Hayat connects potential donors with recipients and supports the full process from consent to surgery. Public awareness campaigns are also in place to encourage more people to register as donors.
The programme continues to develop its database and medical networks to expand transplant capacity and improve access for patients nationwide.
