Al Ain City Sets Record for Longest Fireworks Chain on Eid Al Etihad
Organised by the Al Ain City Municipality, the display stretched for 11.1 kilometres.
Al Ain City broke the Guinness World Record for the longest chain of fireworks during the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 2nd, 2024. Organised by the Al Ain City Municipality, the display stretched 11.1 kilometres, marking the authority’s second record-breaking achievement of the year, after the municipality set the record for the largest bouquet of flowers in February.
Ras Al Khaimah also added to the UAE’s record-breaking streak, achieving two Guinness World Records on January 1st, 2024, with an eight-minute firework and drone display. The emirate secured titles for the "Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks" with a total of 5.8 kilometres, and the "Longest straight-line drone display" spanning 2 kilometres.
These achievements follow Ras Al Khaimah's earlier successes in 2023, when its 12-minute pyro-musical show set records for the "Largest number of operated multi-rotors/drones with a simultaneous fireworks display" and the "Largest aerial sentence formed by multi-rotors/drones," created using 673 drones.
