Art Week Riyadh Makes Its Debut in Diriyah in April 2025
A week-long celebration in Diriyah brings artists, galleries, and collectors together for exhibitions, talks and more.
The Saudi Visual Arts Commission has announced the launch of Art Week Riyadh, a new initiative set to highlight the Kingdom’s growing influence in the global art scene. Taking place from April 6th to the 13th, the inaugural edition will be held under the theme ‘At The Edge’, exploring transformation, thresholds and the evolving cultural landscape of Saudi Arabia.
Art Week Riyadh is designed to develop artistic exchange and cultivate a creative ecosystem. The event will bring together Saudi and international galleries, cultural institutions, artists, collectors and art enthusiasts to celebrate the past, present and future of visual arts. Programming will be spread across the city, with JAX District in the historic town of Diriyah.
The week-long event will feature an array of exhibitions, collectors’ showcases, and public programming. Visitors can expect exhibitions featuring both emerging and established artists, with contributions from prominent galleries both locally and internationally. A special focus will be placed on curated displays of private collections, providing rare access to significant artworks that have remained largely unseen by the public.
Since its establishment in 2020, the Saudi Visual Arts Commission has worked to elevate the visual arts sector by supporting artists, facilitating international collaborations and promoting artistic expression in various forms.
