Cairo University Dome & Clock Tower Declared Historical Monuments

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has announced the registration of the Cairo University Dome and Clock Tower as historical monuments. This decision, approved by the Permanent Committee for Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities, marks these structures as protected sites, acknowledging their historical and architectural significance.
The ministry's statement also detailed the approval of several other key registrations. Notably, the reliquary containing the skull of Saint Catherine, housed within the Church of the Transfiguration at Saint Catherine's Monastery in Sinai, has been officially recorded in the relevant archaeological archives. Additionally, 71 artifacts from the royal hall at Alexandria's Sports Stadium, previously listed under the General Administration of Antiquities and Artifact Possession, have now been formally recognized.
