Cyber Economics Centre to Launch in Riyadh
This global initiative will focus on the economic impact of cybersecurity, advancing research and policy development.
The Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) have signed an agreement to establish the Centre for Cyber Economics (CCE) in Riyadh. The centre will focus on the economic impact of cybersecurity, helping global decision-makers understand how it affects economies. Its research will support the creation of policies and strategies to strengthen cybersecurity worldwide.
The country’s approach has gained international recognition, and the CCE aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader goals of establishing global platforms and initiatives. The creation of the CCE builds on the Kingdom’s efforts, including the formation of GCF as an institute by Royal Decree in 2023.
The forum aims to expand cybersecurity knowledge, promote international cooperation, and unlock opportunities to improve global cyber resilience. The CCE looks to play a key role in shaping the future of cybersecurity and reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a leader in the field.
