Eid Al Fitr prayers across the United Arab Emirates will be held inside mosques only this year, with no congregations permitted at traditional outdoor prayer grounds.
The directive applies across all emirates and restricts the Eid prayer to designated mosques nationwide. Worshippers will not gather at open musallah prayer areas, which are commonly used for Eid prayers in previous years.
The guidance was issued by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in response to the current regional situation. Worshippers have been urged to arrive early and follow instructions provided by mosque staff and volunteers on site. Under the arrangement, Eid prayers during Eid al-Fitr will take place exclusively within mosque facilities across the country. No additional outdoor venues or temporary prayer grounds will be designated.
Residents planning to attend the prayer are advised to proceed to their local mosques and adhere to all guidance issued at each location.
