Diriyah Launches Media & Innovation District as Global Creative Hub
Diriyah’s Media & Innovation District will host global media hubs, luxury residences, and cutting-edge tech spaces.

Diriyah Company has announced the launch of its Media and Innovation District, a major development within its USD 63.2 billion masterplan. Unveiled at MIPIM in Cannes, the district will establish Diriyah as a hub for international media networks, creative agencies and technology firms. Designed to foster innovation and collaboration, the district will feature 250,000 square metres of office space, alongside 450 residential homes, 15,000 square metres of retail, and a selection of high-end dining venues.
The district will also introduce 1 Hotel Diriyah, marking the Middle East debut of the eco-conscious hospitality brand. Strategically located near the 20,000-seat Diriyah Arena, the project is a core part of Diriyah’s second phase of urban expansion, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s broader vision for economic and cultural transformation.
Developed on the outskirts of Riyadh, Diriyah is one of Saudi Arabia’s five giga-projects, backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). The full masterplan includes 1.6 million square metres of office space, 566,000 square metres of retail, over 40 hotels, and 18,000 residences. Once completed, Diriyah is expected to house over 100,000 residents, generate 178,000 jobs, and contribute USD 18.6 billion to Saudi Arabia’s GDP.
