Dubai Airshow Opens With Its Largest Aircraft Display Yet

The 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow, now running until November 21st at Dubai World Central, features the largest aircraft display in its history, with more than 200 commercial, military, private and unmanned aircraft showcased alongside next-generation aviation technologies. This year’s edition, held under the theme ‘The Future is Here’, is expected to draw around 148,000 trade visitors, with military and civil delegations from 115 countries. Of the 1,500 exhibitors participating, nearly one third are new to the event, including more than 100 start-ups, reflecting growing interest from emerging aerospace and technology companies. The programme spans five days of aerial displays, exhibitions and pilot-meet sessions. For the first time, the Airshow is extending into the evening, with night sessions on November 17th and the 18th featuring live entertainment and a drone show. Public attendees at the SkyView grandstand will also have access to food trucks and a dedicated VIP viewing area. Additional features include the event’s largest Space Pavilion to date, organised with the UAE Space Agency, and the first public appearance of eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft within the show’s lineup.
