UAE Nurseries, Kindergartens & Schools to Resume In-Person Learning
Private schools will retain the option to adopt a hybrid rotational model when necessary, subject to approval and supervision by local education authorities.
The UAE Ministry of Education has announced the full resumption of in-person learning across all public and private nurseries, kindergartens, and schools starting Monday, 20 April 2026.
The decision applies to students, teaching staff, and administrative staff, and follows what the ministry described as completed readiness measures across educational institutions. These include facility preparations, staff training, and updated safety and security protocols aimed at ensuring a safe learning environment.
Private schools will retain the option to adopt a hybrid rotational model when necessary, subject to approval and supervision by local education authorities. Schools choosing this model are required to structure staffing in a way that maintains teaching quality and avoids assigning teachers to deliver both in-person and remote lessons simultaneously.
This comes as the region continues to navigate periods of geopolitical tension, with education systems placing renewed emphasis on stability and continuity for students.
