Dubai Police to Fine Up to Dh200,000 for Spreading Rumours
Authorities also warned the public against taking photos of critical sites.

Dubai Police reminded the public on Wednesday that sharing rumours, false information, or any content that contradicts official announcements during a crisis is punishable by law.
In a social media statement, the police said such actions “may cause public panic or threaten public safety, order, or health” and that violators could face criminal penalties, including imprisonment and fines of no less than Dh 200,000.
Authorities also warned the public against taking photos of critical sites, urging everyone to stay calm and follow official guidance to ensure safety.
