Egypt’s exports to Africa saw an increase of 16.7% from January 2024 to May 2024, as the country focusses on strengthening economic ties within the continent.
The Egyptian government has made increasing export volume and opening new markets a top priority. This push is supported by an executive plan, launched in November 2021, aimed at doubling exports to African countries by 2025. The plan sets a target of USD 15 billion in Egyptian exports to Africa by 2025.
