Egyptian Star Ahmed Malek Joins Cast of BBC Series ‘Boiling Point’
The BBC series follows the plot of the award-winning film ‘Boiling Point’.
Egyptian actor Ahmed Malek joins the cast of BBC’s new five-part television series ‘Boiling Point’, set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The series is a continuation of the award-winning restaurant film ‘Boiling Point’, which scored four British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) nominations, 11 British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) nominations, four BIFA wins and four Taormina Film Festival Awards.
The film takes place on the restaurant’s busiest night of the year, starring British actors Vinette Robinson, Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters, and the series is set to pick up the plot six months later, bringing in new cast members including Malek who’ll be starring as ‘Musa’.
Malek has recently starred in the critically acclaimed refugee drama ‘The Swimmers’ (2022) and is preparing for his upcoming British drama ‘Matar’.
