Free Beach Library Opens at Jumeirah Beach 2

A free public beach library has opened at Jumeirah Beach 2, allowing visitors to pick up a book, read by the sea, and return it when finished.
The library features a collection of Arabic and English titles spanning fiction, history, children’s literature and general interest. The concept allows beachgoers to access reading material on site without needing to bring their own books.
The launch coincides with the UAE Month of Reading, a nationwide initiative designed to encourage reading and knowledge-sharing across public spaces and institutions.
The Jumeirah Beach 2 library follows the introduction of Dubai’s first beach library at Kite Beach. Authorities say additional libraries are expected to be introduced across other coastal areas in the city.
The project forms part of initiatives led by Dubai Municipality to develop community spaces that promote learning, culture and wellbeing.
Visitors can read books directly on the beach and return them to the shelf once finished so others can use them. For readers who prefer digital formats, the Arabic Digital Library on Amazon provides access to Arabic-language titles online.
