Growing Restaurant Sector Attracts International Investment in Saudi
Foreign companies are attracted to the Saudi markets' robust and growing consumer demand.
International brands are expanding their presence in the Saudi market in response to strong and growing consumer demand in Saudi Arabia’s food and beverage sector.
Point-of-sale operations using the Mada payment system have shown an annual growth rate of 13.6%, increasing from SAR 78 billion in 2022 to SAR 89 billion in 2023. The growth in the restaurant market is projected to continue, reaching approximately SAR 168 billion by 2030.
This growth is driven by Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a global tourism and entertainment hub, a young population with an appetite for international brands, and the urgent need to develop the food and beverage sector in time for the kingdom's hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2034.
