The unprecedented turnout underscores Jeddah’s rising prominence as a global cultural and tourist destination.

In the first week of Ramadan 2025, Jeddah's Historic District welcomed over one million visitors, marking a record-breaking turnout.
The Ramadan Season, organised by the Jeddah Historic District Program under the Ministry of Culture, aims to revive Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage while promoting national identity through a diverse range of themed celebrations and activities.
Visitors are immersed in an authentic Ramadan experience through local arts, traditional markets and heritage cuisine. Architectural tours offer insight into Jeddah’s historic buildings, providing a glimpse into the city's rich past. The season also features interactive workshops on Arabic calligraphy and pottery, inviting participants to engage with traditional crafts.
Beyond cultural activities, the event serves as an economic driver, offering small businesses and local artisans a platform to showcase their products.
