Milaf Cola Launches World's First Date-Based Carbonated Drink

Saudi Arabia’s Thurath Al Madina has shaken up the beverage world with Milaf Cola, the first cola crafted entirely from dates.
Unveiled at the Riyadh Date Festival, the locally-produced cola is made without added sugar, harnessing the natural sweetness and nutritional benefits of dates to offer a healthier alternative to traditional sodas. Packed with antioxidants, magnesium, and potassium, the drink reflects a growing trend toward functional and sustainable foods.
Thurath Al-Madina plans to expand their product line regionally and internationally, aiming to reimagine the global perception of dates from a traditional Middle Eastern snack to a versatile, trendsetting ingredient. The launch of Milaf Cola also fits into the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 - Thurath Al Madina itself being a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund - emphasising sustainability, local sourcing and economic diversification.
