Minimum Fine of SAR 5,000 Introduced for Postal Delivery Failures
The Transport General Authority will impose penalties on companies that fail to deliver shipments to customers’ specified locations.

The Transport General Authority (TGA) has introduced a minimum fine of SAR 5,000 for parcel delivery companies that fail to deliver shipments as per agreed terms. This move is part of a regulatory framework aimed at improving postal services and ensuring accountability in the logistics sector. The fines apply to companies that do not deliver shipments to the exact locations specified by customers at the time of purchase.
Beneficiaries facing delivery failures or delays can initially file complaints directly with the parcel service provider. If the issue remains unresolved within five working days, customers may escalate the complaint to the TGA, which will intervene to enforce compliance. These regulations fall under the Postal Bylaw and its executive regulations, which mandate stricter oversight of service providers to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The TGA has also introduced multiple communication channels for filing complaints and inquiries, including its beneficiary services platform, official care account, and a unified customer service number, 19929.
