New Four-Lane Highway to Be Built Between Banha and Mansoura
The new road will stretch 73 km over the Delta, improving speed of transportation for goods and passengers.
The Ministry of Transport has announced plans for a new 73 km road connecting Banha and Mansoura. The construction of the four-lane highway comes in addition to the expansion and improvement of the highway between Mansoura and Damietta, which is having 50 km added to its length. The new Banha-Mansoura highway will connect the agricultural road between Cairo and Alexandria with the coastal highway, forming an axis between the New Administrative Capital, Cairo and the governorates of Qalyubia, Dakhlia and Damietta. This latest construction is part of the continued efforts to improve transportation of people and goods across the Delta.
