New Initiative Focuses on Arabic Readiness for Sharjah’s Students

The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has launched the 'With Arabic We Rise' initiative for the 2025/26 academic year, aiming to improve Arabic language readiness in private schools across the emirate.

The initiative focuses on integrating Arabic language proficiency as a core element of early education, ensuring students develop strong linguistic foundations before entering formal schooling. SPEA’s approach includes updated curricula, teacher training, and assessment frameworks designed to elevate Arabic language skills amongst young learners.

The policy is designed to support both educational development and cultural identity in order to prepare students for academic success in a multilingual environment while preserving Arabic heritage.
