O West Supports Arab Filmmakers With Sponsorship of CineGouna at GFF

O West, the integrated town by Orascom Development in West Cairo, is supporting filmmakers across Egypt and the Arab world through their collaboration with CineGouna at El Gouna Film Festival (GFF), raising EGP 8 million in a seed funding round to help filmmakers develop their film project ideas.

As celebrities and leading film industry figures flock to the sixth edition of El Gouna Film Festival to celebrate moviemaking in the MENA region, the CineGouna Platform is boosting emerging talents across the region, propelling them from initial funding to broader industry connections through their programs.

O West aims to bring the spirit of GFF to Cairo all throughout the year, helping them host a series of masterclasses, workshops and panels long after the final curtain falls at the film festival, with events scheduled in April and September.
