Over 21,000 Inspections Conducted Across Makkah & Madinah in Ramadan
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce carried out more than 21,000 inspection visits during Ramadan.
Officials from the Saudi Ministry of Commerce have conducted more than 20,000 regulatory inspection visits and 1,937 supply monitoring tours across the Makkah and Madinah regions since the start of Ramadan.
The inspections targeted commercial establishments and retail outlets across the two regions, including central markets, hypermarkets and shops located in the central areas around the holy sites.
Monitoring teams also visited gold and jewellery stores, fuel stations along roads leading to Makkah and Madinah, and commercial areas near the Miqats.
According to the ministry, the visits focused on verifying the availability of goods in markets, particularly food supplies, consumer products and items commonly purchased during Ramadan.
Inspection teams also checked that goods comply with approved standard specifications and that businesses follow consumer protection regulations governing commercial practices.
