Palestinian Cancer Patients Travel to Turkey from Egypt
Turkish Health Minister announced that 27 patients were flown to Turkey from Egypt’s Al Arish Airport.
As reported by Turkey's Anadolu agency today, November 16th, over two dozen Palestinian cancer patients who entered Egypt from Gaza have now arrived in Turkey for treatment.
According to Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, 27 patients, escorted by 13 individuals, were transported to Turkey from Egypt’s Al Arish Airport. The exact role of these companions - whether they are medical professionals or family members - has not been specified.
This development occurs amid the ongoing escalation in conflict since October 7th, resulting in a 'collapse' of Gaza's healthcare system, as indicated by the World Health Organization. This dire situation is attributed to the sustained bombardment by Israeli Occupation Forces.
