Platform Code Launched to Standardise Digital Government Services
The Digital Government Authority has unveiled a design system to ease the user experience across digital government platforms.
Saudi Arabia's Digital Government Authority (DGA) has instigated the Platform Code, a national framework aimed at homogenising and improving government digital interfaces. The initiative provides for uniformity in the design of the platforms to secure seamless and consistent user experiences across all government services, according to the Vision 2030 goals of digital innovation.
By bringing coding frameworks, design tools, and community guidelines under one roof, the open-source design system of the Platform Code enables the rapid development of harmonised user experiences. This way, designers and developers can create particular needs with pre-built assets, and come up with the creation of cohesive digital services.
DGA also announced the Saudi Digital Strategy that involves scaling up the digital economy and creating opportunities for public sector products and private sector products. Other initiatives include the Digital Transformation Ambassador Program for achieving an integrated digital society, while the Scene Program embeds the concept of integral user experience through advanced frameworks and tools.
